Responsibilities

As an Assistant Community Manager at Hines, you will support the Community Manager in managing financial and operational aspects of the community. Your duties will include:

  1. Handling daily financial transactions such as rent collection, payment posting, bank deposits, and invoice processing.
  2. Reviewing resident files, communicating about balances, and implementing collection procedures to maximize revenue.
  3. Following procedures related to evictions, including notices and court representations.
  4. Reconciling vendor invoices and managing payments.
  5. Managing resident move-ins and move-outs according to lease terms.
  6. Responding promptly to resident inquiries and complaints to promote satisfaction and retention.
  7. Creating marketing communications for events and resident engagement.
  8. Acting as the on-site supervisor in the absence of the community manager, coordinating maintenance and daily operations.
  9. Planning and executing resident events and activities.
  10. Supporting owner relations through meetings, community tours, and updates.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Two+ years in property management or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic accounting.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to perform physical inspections and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Availability for emergency response, including natural disasters.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
