Responsibilities

As an Assistant Community Manager with Hines, you will support and assist the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of the community. Your tasks will include:

  • Handling daily financial transactions such as collecting and posting rent, preparing bank deposits, and reconciling accounts
  • Reviewing resident files, communicating about balances, and enforcing lease agreements to maximize revenue
  • Following procedures related to evictions, including notices and court representations
  • Reviewing and submitting vendor invoices for payment
  • Managing resident move-ins and move-outs according to lease terms
  • Responding promptly to resident inquiries and complaints to promote satisfaction and retention
  • Creating communication materials for marketing and resident engagement
  • Acting as the on-site supervisor in the absence of the community manager, coordinating maintenance and daily tasks
  • Organizing and promoting resident events and activities
  • Maintaining the client/owner relationship through regular updates and meetings
Qualifications

Minimum requirements include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Two or more years of experience in property management or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to perform physical inspections and lift up to 25 lbs
  • Availability for emergency response and flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays
