Job summary

Peak Living in Charlottesville, VA seeks an Assistant Community Manager to support operations under the Community Manager. You will assist with leasing, customer service, and marketing efforts across our communities.

The role requires coordinating paperwork for leases, collecting rents, and assisting in budgeting while working weekends regularly. A minimum of 3 years in a related onsite role and strong English communication are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in onsite Assistant Community Manager or Leasing Consultant in multi-family housing, hospitality, or similar.
• Ability to deal effectively with customers/residents.
• Ability to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Community Manager in supervising all community associates.
• Supports and participates in fulfilling customer service and leasing.
• Assist and/or support leasing and marketing efforts.
• Assist in preparing all paperwork for new and renewal leases.
• Recommend rental rate adjustments or concessions to the Community Manager.
• Review resident files and accounting records related to unpaid or late fees and communicate with residents.
• Assist in resident loyalty and retention initiatives.
• Assist in organizing daily work and community operations.
• Collect, post, and deposit rents and security deposits; manage other income.
• Support budgeting and occupancy tracking.
• Work weekends regularly.

Overview

Under the direction of the Community Manager, the Assistant Community Manager supports and assists in all aspects of community operations.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Community Manager in the supervision of all community associates.
• Supports and participates in fulfilling the customer service and leasing.
• Assist and/or support leasing and marketing efforts.
• Assist in preparing all paperwork specific to new and renewal leases.
• Recommend rental rate adjustments or concessions to the Community Manager.
• Review resident files and accounting records to determine unpaid and/or late fees owed, communicate with residents regarding outstanding balances, implement procedures for collecting on delinquencies, and enforce the lease agreement.
• Assist the Community Manager in resident loyalty and retention initiatives.
• Assist the Community Manager in organizing daily work and community operations.
• Collect, post, and deposit rents/security deposits and other community income.
• Support the Community Manager in maintaining and managing budgeted occupancy, collections, etc.
• Work weekends regularly

Qualifications

• A minimum of three (3) years' experience as an onsite Assistant Community Manager or Leasing Consultant in multi-family housing, hospitality or similar.
• Must posses the ability to deal effectively with customers/residents.
• Must have the ability to communicate in English.
