Job summary

Indigo Real Estate seeks an experienced Assistant Community Director to oversee day-to-day operations of affordable housing communities and maintain strong resident relations. You will structure office workflow, manage leasing, budgeting, and reporting while ensuring compliance with fair housing standards.

The role requires LIHTC experience, 3+ years in property management, and the ability to supervise a team and coordinate marketing, leasing goals, and property operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years property management experience.
• Minimum of 3+ years of LIHTC experience.
• Resume must include number of units for current and past employment.
• Experience in supporting lease-up/property launch goals and timelines.
• Ability to exercise quick and accurate judgement and maintain confidentiality.
• Effective conflict resolution and customer service skills.
• Ability to set priorities and multi-task with a strong attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of Yardi or other property management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, control, and direct the day-to-day operation of the property and maintain resident relations.
• Structure the office workflow and organize the office.
• Meet corporate financial objectives and protect the value and integrity of the property, ensuring fair housing compliance.
• Ensure the compliance requirements of the property are met.
• Train and manage personnel, oversee leasing, collections, resident services, maintenance, budgeting, and reporting.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate site revenue and expense accounting, including rent collection and timely invoicing.
• Generate weekly and monthly reporting and maintain resident files and affordable housing compliance.
• Collaborate on marketing strategies and update listings, including via independent listing services (ILS).
• Prepare annual budgets and monitor cost centers and forecasts.
• Provide general support to the Community Director and perform other duties as assigned.
