The Division of Program operates a range of programs to advance the Agency’s mission, including Older Adult Centers (OACs) which provide older New Yorkers with community-based, wrap-around services, including meals, health and educational workshops, information, benefits navigation and referrals, and recreational activities that enrich lives. Centers are located in public and private facilities citywide and are operated by contracted nonprofit organizations. Reporting to the Chief Program Officer, the Assistant Commissioner – Older Adult Centers, will oversee the daily operations of over 300 centers which serve approximately 150, 000 individuals annually. They must be dynamic, driven, and detail-oriented to strengthen internal and external oversight and accountability; demonstrate program effectiveness and impact; collaboratively evolve program offerings to meet emerging needs; and establish partnerships that increase service delivery to older adults.
