Madison Reed is seeking an Assistant Colorist for our Hair Color Bar in Redondo Beach, CA. The role supports Licensed Colorists and a Shift Lead to deliver a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure while learning services and pursuing the next step in your color career.

In this position you will learn Madison Reed consultations, color care products, shampooing, conditioning, blowouts, and the unlimited roots membership program, all while maintaining a clean, organized work

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state you are applying.
• Entry level experience in customer service or retail; salon/beauty industry preferred.
• Effective communication, strong problem solving and people skills in a fast-paced retail or salon environment.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and develop teamwork to provide a guest experience aligned with values.
• Perform behind-the-chair services including finishing, shampooing, conditioning, styling, blowouts, and toner applications.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals and other KPIs including retail, services, and memberships.
• Ensure Hair Color Bar meets standards for cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security.
• Adhere to Madison Reed policies and procedures.
• Drive revenue by increasing the average service ticket and selling memberships and subscriptions.
• Support Colorist training to grow toward licensure within 3–9 months.
