Job summary

Ramapo Indian Hills Regional HS District is seeking an Assistant Swim Coach at Ramapo High School for the 2026-2027 season. The Assistant Coach will support the Head Coach in all aspects of the swim program, fostering a positive environment that promotes skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship among student-athletes.

The role requires prior coaching or swimming experience at high school, collegiate, or club level, strong swim knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with athletic staff

Qualifications

• Previous coaching and/or swimming experience at the high school, collegiate, or club level, preferred.
• Strong knowledge of swimming fundamentals, strategies, and safety protocols.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach, athletic staff, and school administration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive environment for high school athletes.
• Availability for practices, games, and team events, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices, drills, and workouts.
• Provide instruction on swim techniques, strategies, and rules.
• Support meet-day operations, including warm-ups, and post-meet analysis.
• Mentor student-athletes, promoting academic success and development
• Assist with equipment management and logistics with players and parents.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful team culture.

Compensation: Within the range of $3488 and $4415, depending on experience and qualifications.
