Job summary

Husson University is seeking assistant coaches to support multiple sports with duties spanning instruction, leadership, film review, and recruiting. The role collaborates with the head coach to manage practices, games, and student-athlete development.

The position requires experience in coaching at college or high school levels, knowledge of NCAA/NAC/ECAC guidelines, and ability to utilize Front Rush and video analysis tools to enhance team performance.

Qualifications

• Education: B.A. or B.S. degree preferred.
• Experience: Proven experience in playing or coaching at the high school or intercollegiate level.
• Coaching licenses, certifications, and badges preferred.
• Working knowledge of coaching both field players and goalkeepers.
• Ability to use Front Rush recruiting software and create film sessions with team members.

Responsibilities

• Coaching responsibilities as assigned by the head coach, including instructing students on sport fundamentals and providing feedback.
• Assist in organization, preparation, and coaching of the program, including attendance at practices, scrimmages, and games; recruiting and scouting off-campus.
• Implement policies of NCAA/NAC/ECAC and Husson University.
• Monitor academic progress of student-athletes and provide guidance for success.
• Monitor conduct of student-athletes and teach teamwork.
• Assist with recruiting activities, including on-campus tours, calls, and viewing off-campus.
• Teach athletes in strength and conditioning and provide team instruction.
• Meet daily with the head coach regarding instruction, training, scrimmages, games, and recruiting.
