Job summary

Husson University in Bangor, ME is seeking a Head Cross Country and Track and Field Coach to lead both men's and women's programs. This role combines coaching, administration, and student-athlete development, with responsibilities in recruitment, competition scheduling, and strength and conditioning oversight.

The candidate will monitor academic progress, manage budgets, coordinate travel, and collaborate with facilities and staff to ensure a high level of performance.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching cross country and track and field at collegiate level.
• Ability to develop recruiting plans and monitor student progress.
• Ability to work with NCAA Division III environment.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students on sport fundamentals, goals, expectations, and feedback.
• Develop a comprehensive recruiting plan to recruit collegiate student-athletes.
• Design and execute a competitive schedule.
• Monitor and guide strength and conditioning programs.
• Oversee team budgets and travel arrangements.
• Lead fundraising efforts and campus/community partnerships.
• Support academic progress and conduct of student-athletes.
• Coordinate with facilities and supervise assistant coaches.
