Job summary

St-Joseph-Catholic-Academy is seeking an assistant coach for soccer (seasonal, part-time) to support the head coach and athletic director. You will help design and implement program activities, supervise student athletes, and model positive behavior in all duties related to the program.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, CPR Certification, and the ability to drive when needed. A background check and adherence to EIM and Protecting God’s Children training are required before start.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• CPR Certification is required.
• Must be able to drive when necessary.
• Familiarity with Catholic understanding of ministry is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement the philosophies of the athletic program and school.
• Develop players in areas of responsibility per head coach guidelines.
• Teach fundamentals and techniques approved by state association for player safety.
• Assist in equipment check out/check in procedures.
• Assist in preparing field facilities for practices and contests.
• Assist in supervising the locker areas.
• Assist in providing a positive public relations outlook.
• Cooperate and abide by state and conference regulations.

Assistant Coach - Soccer

The job of an assistant softball coach is to assist the head coach with the design and implementation of the program's activities following applicable rules and regulations related to the sport; provide supervision of student athletes during all aspects of the program; using sound instructional techniques in overseeing program activities; serving as a positive role model to student athletes. This job reports to the Head Coach and Athletic Director.

Responsibilities include the following:

• To fully understand and assist in the implementation of the philosophies of the athletic program and the school.
• To develop players in specific areas of responsibility within the guidelines set forth by the head coach.
• To teach fundamentals and techniques that are approved by the state association regarding player safety.
• To assist in equipment check out/check in procedures.
• To assist in the preparation of field facilities for practices and contests.
• To assist in the supervision of the locker areas.
• To assist in providing a positive public relations outlook.
• To cooperate and abide by all state and conference regulations.
