Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio seeks an Assistant Coach to support the coaching staff in various athletic duties, including training and mentoring student-athletes. The role requires collaboration with admissions and other staff to successfully recruit and support student-athletes.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and coaching experience at the collegiate level. Certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED are required. A commitment to the university's mission and values is essential.
Walsh University is a member of NCAA Division II that competes in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. The Assistant Coach – Casual is responsible for assisting the coaching staff in coaching/mentoring student‑athletes technically and tactically on the field/court/etc., as well as guiding them through academic achievement and personal development. The assistant coach (casual) is also responsible for helping with recruiting and retaining student‑athletes and managing the day‑to‑day practice regimen. The Assistant Coach (casual) reports to the Head Coach of the sport assigned and/or other designated coach.
