ROLE SUMMARY

An Assistant Coach of a Valor Christian Athletic team willprepare tomorrow’s leaders to transform the world for Christwithin the platform of the sport. As a committed follower of Jesus Christ, the Coach will provide excellent support of the program including intentional development of the athletes’ faith in Jesus Christ and excellence in Christian Character, while instilling great work habits, and teaching, stressing and monitoring the primacy of Academics.

  • Facilitate the athletes’ development of their God-given abilities to the fullest in both life and in sport
  • Be a positive Christian role model for all the student-athletes at the school.
Demonstrate Excellent “Follow”-ship and Leadership in their Sport and the Athletic Department
  • Support the Team Plan set by the Head Coach and be responsible for its execution
  • Partner in the development and implementation of daily practices
  • Provide film breakdown and game analysis
  • Assist with scouting of upcoming opponents and the implementation of game plan(s)
Partner Exceptionally with Community of Support Available in Valor Athletics
  • Be committed to partnering with parents
  • Support athletes in being their best physically through the Valor Sports Science Department
  • Assist athletes and families in the College Recruiting process with the Assistant AD, College Recruiting
  • Know and understand CHSAA rules and regulations with Director of CHSAA Compliance
  • Be a contributing member of the Valor Coaches Association by attending VCA events

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The same basic physical demands described here are the same for all employees to successfully perform the essential functions of their jobs. WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics are varied and include classroom, office, and outdoor events while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is also varied.

HOURS PER WEEK: Stipend. Not benefit eligible.

SUPERVISOR: Head Coach

PAY RANGE: $0-$750 / month (March, April, May)
