Position Summary

The Assistant Nurse Manager is a leadership position with direct and indirect patient care responsibilities. Working in collaboration with the Nurse Manager, Director of Nursing (DON), and the Health Center Administrator (HCA), this role involves developing systems of care to foster a successful clinical care team environment and ensure optimal patient outcomes. The primary responsibility is assisting with directing daily clinical support staff activities to provide safe, high-quality, and efficient primary care to a diverse patient population. Secondary responsibilities include providing direct nursing care. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, nursing experience in directing primary care support staff, and extensive knowledge of family medicine primary care nursing, including pediatrics and obstetrics and gynecology.

Minimal Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Experience: Must be a Registered Nurse with at least two (2) years' experience or a Licensed Practical Nurse with at least five (5) years' experience
• Licensure: Florida license
• BLS certification
• Computer literacy

Responsibilities and Performance Expectations

• Familiarity with CFHC's program philosophies, goals, and objectives.
• Compliance with all CFHC policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Competence in performing nursing duties.
• Understanding of CFHC's Exposure Control Plan and universal precautions.
• Participation in staff outreach and off-site healthcare programs as requested.
• Reporting relevant information impacting patient care or CFHC liability to the Nurse Manager and DON.
