Assistant Clinical Services Manager - RN or LPN

Position Overview

The Assistant Nurse Manager is a leadership role with direct and indirect patient care responsibilities. Working collaboratively with the Nurse Manager, Director of Nursing (DON), and the Health Center Administrator (HCA), this position aims to develop systems of care that promote a successful clinical team environment and ensure optimal patient outcomes. The primary focus is assisting in directing daily clinical support staff activities to provide safe, high-quality, and efficient primary care to a diverse patient population. Secondary duties include providing direct nursing care. The role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and a solid knowledge base in family medicine primary care nursing, including pediatrics and obstetrics and gynecology.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Registered Nurse with at least two (2) years’ experience preferred, or Licensed Practical Nurse with at least three (3) years’ experience preferred
  • Florida licensure
  • BLS certification
  • Computer literacy
Responsibilities and Performance Expectations
  • Familiarity with CFHC’s program philosophies, goals, and policies, and compliance with all regulations
  • Competence in nursing duties
  • Understanding of CFHC’s Exposure Control Plan and universal precautions
  • Participation in staff outreach and community healthcare programs
  • Reporting relevant issues impacting patient care or CFHC liability
  • Attendance at mandated meetings and professional cooperation with team members
  • Maintaining professional appearance and carrying out additional activities as directed
Primary Duties
  • Ensure high-quality nursing practice in collaboration with leadership teams
  • Assist with assigning clinical and administrative duties, managing patient flow, and staffing requirements
  • Conduct performance assessments, staff meetings, and educational programs
  • Assist with staff recruitment, orientation, and credential maintenance
  • Perform safety audits and coordinate interning student assignments
Secondary Duties
  • Provide nursing assessments, triage, and emergency coverage
  • Support patient education, participate in code situations, and mentor students
Physical Requirements
  • 80% or more standing/walking
  • Ability to lift and reposition patients and supplies
  • Adaptability to varying workload and environments
