Overview

The Assistant Clinical Director plays a critical role in supporting the clinical and operational excellence of the organization. The role involves a balance of direct client services, staff supervision, operational management, and community engagement. The Assistant Clinical Director ensures adherence to clinical policies and procedures, facilitates effective communication across teams, and supports strategic initiatives to foster clinic growth and success. This is an in-person role, requiring an average of 15 billable hours per week and active engagement in clinic operations.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage a caseload of approximately 7 clients and supervise staff to ensure high-quality services.
  2. Monitor key performance indicators such as supervision ratios and billable hours to drive clinical success.
  3. Supervise and mentor clinicians and behavior technicians, including practicum students.
  4. Provide feedback and support professional growth of team members.
  5. Collaborate with the Clinical Director on strategies, clinic coverage, and operations.
  6. Oversee onboarding, client intakes, and initial assessments to support growth.
  7. Ensure compliance with clinical policies, HIPAA, and other standards.
  8. Conduct audits, monitor documentation, and address performance issues proactively.
  9. Represent the organization at community events and engagements.
  10. Build positive relationships with external stakeholders and families.
  11. Coach on client programming and address parent or client concerns.
  12. Oversee parent training sessions and client satisfaction.
  13. Participate in leadership meetings and cross-departmental initiatives.
  14. Communicate updates and align staff with organizational goals.
  15. Use data insights for staffing, training, and progress tracking.
  16. Adjust operational and clinical goals based on metrics.

Qualifications

  1. Master’s degree in ABA, Psychology, Education, or related field.
  2. At least 3 years of experience in ABA or similar clinical settings.
  3. Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  4. Experience managing caseloads and working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities.
  5. BCBA certification and state license required.
  6. Strong understanding of ABA principles and compliance standards.
  7. Skills in data analysis, mentoring, communication, and conflict resolution.
  8. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
  9. Ability to build trust with diverse teams and families.
  10. No criminal history; flexible availability including evenings or weekends.
  11. Willingness to travel for in-home sessions as needed.
