Job summary

Touchstone Climbing in Sacramento Pipeworks is seeking an Assistant Comp Team Coach to support our youth climbing program. The role emphasizes safety, engagement, and curriculum development for climbers of varying abilities.

You'll work alongside seasoned coaches to deliver high-quality training, foster a fun learning environment, and help shape Team Touchstone's programming across campuses in California.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching kids in climbing at multiple ability levels.
• Ability to develop training curricula and programming.
• Collaborative mindset with fellow coaches.

Responsibilities

• Assist in running the team coaching sessions.

About The Role

Sacramento Pipeworks is looking for an Assistant Comp Team Coach with the following qualifications:

• Experienced in bouldering, top rope, and lead climbing.
• Sound understanding of climbing techniques such as footwork, body positioning, movement efficiency, route reading, etc.
• Has the patience and passion for working with kids at a variety of ability levels and learning styles.
• Brings a creative, fun approach to climbing instruction and curriculum; makes learning how to climb enjoyable and engaging.
• Interested in creating high quality training curriculum and programming for Team Touchstone.
• Excited to collaborate with other coaches to facilitate an exceptional team experience for our climbers.
  
  

Compensation

Starting Pay is $21.50/hour. Assistant Team Coach individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to; facility location and type, membership volume, experience, and job/position tenure.
