Job summary

Sacramento Pipeworks is seeking an Assistant Comp Team Coach to support the Team Touchstone program. The role requires delivering engaging instruction across bouldering, top rope, and lead climbing, with a focus on safe technique and kid-friendly teaching approaches.

You will help create high quality training curricula and collaborate with fellow coaches to provide an exceptional team experience for climbers at all ability levels, fostering a fun, educational environment.

Qualifications

• Experienced in bouldering, top rope, and lead climbing.
• Sound understanding of climbing techniques (footwork, body positioning, movement efficiency, route reading).
• Patience and passion for working with kids at various ability levels and learning styles.
• Creative, fun approach to instruction and curriculum; makes learning to climb enjoyable.
• Interested in creating high quality training curriculum and programming for Team Touchstone.
• Collaborate with other coaches to facilitate an exceptional team experience for climbers.

About the Role

Sacramento Pipeworks is looking for an Assistant Comp Team Coach with the following qualifications:

• Experienced in bouldering, top rope, and lead climbing.
• Sound understanding of climbing techniques such as footwork, body positioning, movement efficiency, route reading, etc.
• Has the patience and passion for working with kids at a variety of ability levels and learning styles.
• Brings a creative, fun approach to climbing instruction and curriculum; makes learning how to climb enjoyable and engaging.
• Interested in creating high quality training curriculum and programming for Team Touchstone.
• Excited to collaborate with other coaches to facilitate an exceptional team experience for our climbers.

Compensation

Starting Pay is $21.50/hour. Assistant Team Coachindividual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to; facility location and type, membership volume, experience, and job/position tenure.
