Touchstone Climbing is seeking an Assistant Comp Team Coach to support the competitive team across bouldering, top rope, and lead climbing in Pasadena. You will help develop high-quality training curricula and adapt coaching to a variety of abilities. Collaboration with fellow coaches will ensure an engaging and exceptional team experience for our climbers.

Join a dynamic program and contribute to creating impactful programming for Team Touchstone while maintaining a flexible, part-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in bouldering, top rope, and lead climbing.
• Understanding of climbing techniques, footwork and movement efficiency.
• Patience and passion for teaching kids of varied abilities.
• Creative approach to instruction and curriculum design.
• Interest in developing high-quality Team Touchstone programming.
• Ability to collaborate with other coaches to create an exceptional team experience.

The Post is looking for an Assistant Comp Team Coach with the following qualifications:

• Experienced in bouldering, top rope, and lead climbing.
• Sound understanding of climbing techniques such as footwork, body positioning, movement efficiency, route reading, etc.
• Has the patience and passion for working with kids at a variety of ability levels and learning styles.
• Brings a creative, fun approach to climbing instruction and curriculum; makes learning how to climb enjoyable and engaging.
• Interested in creating high quality training curriculum and programming for Team Touchstone.
• Excited to collaborate with other coaches to facilitate an exceptional team experience for our climbers.

Compensation

Starting Pay is $21.50/hour. Assistant Team Coachindividual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to; facility location and type, membership volume, experience, and job/position tenure.
