Job summary

The City of Tustin seeks an Assistant City Engineer to join the Engineering Division of the Public Works Department. This new leadership position will mentor engineers, strengthen project delivery and QA/QC practices, and partner closely with the City Engineer.

Requirements include six years of civil engineering experience (three in supervision), a Bachelor's in civil engineering, and a California PE license. Salary range: $146,390–$197,100 DOQE; benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Six years of professional civil engineering experience, including three years in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Must be a California P.E.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop engineering professionals; strengthen project delivery and QA/QC practices.
• Serve as a trusted leadership partner to the City Engineer.
• Lead and coordinate capital improvement program initiatives within the Engineering Division.
