The City of Amarillo is seeking exceptionally organized, reliable, and skilled leaders for the position of Assistant City Engineer in support of current and future City projects and local development. Persons applying for this position will be responsible for the design and review of public works and infrastructure related projects.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Experience in design/review of public works infrastructure.
• Strong communication and supervisory abilities.

Mansioni

• Supervises and directs department personnel in the preparation of plans and specifications for public works and infrastructure projects.
• Design and prepare projects including hydrological, hydraulic, street/storm sewer alignment, water/wastewater utilities.
• Reviews civil engineering portions of projects and provides comments.
• Participate in public infrastructure planning and prepare project proposals.
• Develops probable cost estimates and assists in budget requests.
• Reviews and makes recommendations on design elements of developments.
• Reviews projects designed by consulting engineers affecting City facilities.
• Reviews floodplain management submittals and related documents.
