Job summary

Chroma Early Learning Academy is seeking an Assistant Childcare Teacher to support lead teachers in providing a safe, nurturing classroom for young children in Georgia. You will help implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development, while ensuring supervision and well-being.

Ideal candidates are patient, attentive, and collaborative, willing to learn and adapt in a dynamic childcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Background check clearance required.
• CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
• Must meet Georgia Bright from the Start and Quality Rated guidelines.
• Passion for early childhood education and social-emotional development.
• Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to continuous learning.
• Nice to have: Teaching/Childcare 1 year (Preferred).
• In progress or willingness to obtain CDA, TCC, or paraprofessional.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in the day-to-day care of the children in the classroom.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment aligned with Georgia DECAL and Quality Rated standards.
• Support the implementation of an age-appropriate curriculum that promotes sensory exploration, early communication, and gross motor development.
• Observe and document developmental milestones and communicate regularly with families.
• Follow all licensing and program guidelines related to health, safety, and sanitation.
• Actively participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training required for Quality Rated compliance.
