Job summary

PAM Health is seeking an Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) to lead nursing services and ensure high-quality patient care. The role requires strategic staffing, policy development, and strong collaboration with hospital leadership.

The ACNO will oversee nursing operations, mentor managers, and drive patient safety initiatives while aligning with PAM Health system standards and accreditation requirements.

Qualifications

• RN licensure active and in good standing in the state of the hospital.
• BSN preferred; in lieu, a suitable combination of education and experience.
• Minimum five years of clinical nursing experience with three years in management.
• Current BLS and ACLS required; specialty certifications preferred (CNE/CRRN/CCRn/PCCN).

Responsibilities

• Direct all nursing service activities for the assigned hospital.
• Maintain appropriate nurse staffing ratios and optimize patient care delivery.
• Serve as liaison between staff and administration to promote productivity.
• Develop and implement nursing policies in line with PAM Health standards and accreditation.

• Direct all nursing service activities for the hospital assigned by making recommendations for staff/patient ratios, by maintaining a system to determine and provide adequate staff for provision of appropriate nursing care, by serving as a liaison between staff and administration, by promoting productivity of staff, by developing and implementing policies and procedures for nursing service in compliance with PAM Health system policies and procedures and accreditation standards.
• Must possess RN licensure in good standing in the state where the hospital resides.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience is required and three (3) years of experience in nursing management is preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS required.
• Certification in a specified field preferred (CNE, CRRN, CCRN, PCCN).
