HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Chief Financial Officer (ACFO) for our Corpus Christi Medical Center.

This role leads the Financial Accounting and Reporting functions to ensure accurate, timely financial information and supports the path to the Chief Financial Officer role. The ACFO will influence healthcare finance strategies, supervise finance staff, ensure internal controls, and manage regulatory compliance while collaborating with clinical leaders to optimize financial

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related area is required.
• Master’s degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum of three years in finance/accounting or public accounting/audit experience.
• Experience as a hospital Controller preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing Financial Accounting and Reporting to ensure efficient service.
• Contribute to healthcare finance strategy and clinical and financial results.
• Support capital asset management processes.
• Demonstrate knowledge of HIM and Case Management/Care Coordination functions.
• Develop expertise in productivity, staffing and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with internal control environment and regulatory requirements.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Assistant Chief Financial Officer (ACFO) is a critical financial leadership pipeline role that serves as a direct tributary into the hospital Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role. This position manages the Financial Accounting and Reporting Department to ensure that it is providing effective and efficient service.

What you will do in this role:

• You will demonstrate understanding of application of healthcare finance to impact clinical and financial results
• You will execute HCA Healthcare's capital asset management process
• You will demonstrate knowledge of HIM and Case Management/Care Coordination functions
• You will establish expertise in productivity, staffing and scheduling
• You will demonstrate competence in hospital accounting, internal control environment and compliance requirements
• You will establish executive presence (temperament, competencies and skills across situations)

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, or other related area required
• Master’s degree in related field preferred
• Minimum of three years in finance/accounting or public accounting/audit experience
• Experience as a hospital Controller preferred
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• CPA preferred

Corpus Christi Medical Center is a 630+ bed healthcare system of hospitals in Corpus Christi and the surrounding Coastal Bend community.
