Job summary

HCA Healthcare seeks an Assistant Chief Financial Officer for TriStar Summit Medical Center. The role leads Financial Accounting and Reporting, shaping clinical and financial outcomes through healthcare finance expertise.

Key duties include capital asset management, internal controls, and compliance; the ACFO will build leadership and supervise the accounting team within a major hospital network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years in finance/accounting or public accounting/audit experience.
• Experience as a hospital Controller preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding of healthcare finance to impact clinical and financial results.
• Execute capital asset management process.
• Demonstrate knowledge of HIM and Case Management/Care Coordination functions.
• Establish expertise in productivity, staffing and scheduling.
• Demonstrate competence in hospital accounting, internal control environment and compliance requirements.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Assistant Chief Financial Officer (ACFO) is a critical financial leadership pipeline role that serves as a direct tributary into the hospital Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role. This position manages the Financial Accounting and Reporting Department to ensure that it is providing effective and efficient service.

What you will do in this role:

• You will demonstrate understanding of application of healthcare finance to impact clinical and financial results
• You will execute HCA Healthcare’s capital asset management process
• You will demonstrate knowledge of HIM and Case Management/Care Coordination functions
• You will establish expertise in productivity, staffing and scheduling
• You will demonstrate competence in hospital accounting, internal control environment and compliance requirements
• You will establish executive presence (temperament, competencies and skills across situations)

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, or other related area required
• Master’s degree in related field preferred
• Minimum of three years in finance/accounting or public accounting/audit experience
• Experience as a hospital Controller preferred
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• CPA preferred
