Job summary

Pathfinder Hospitality seeks an Assistant Chief Engineer to maintain hotel systems and fixtures, ensuring Platinum Service for guests. You will diagnose and repair issues, perform preventive maintenance, and uphold safety standards while communicating clearly with staff and guests.

The role supports a busy hospitality environment; the ideal candidate can lift 50 lbs, handle varied shifts, and participate in an ongoing training program to grow with the company’s Platinum Service culture.

Qualifications

• Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
• Proactive, can anticipate issues and take initiative.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC and handyman tasks expected.
• Excellent communication with team and guests is essential.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on hotel equipment and systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
• Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests and diagnose issues.
• Install and maintain hotel fixtures, furniture, and equipment following safety standards.
• Conduct safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
