Arbor Lodging in Rosemont, IL is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to manage budget, capital expenditures, preventative maintenance, and energy conservation across our hotel portfolio. You will lead the Engineering team, coordinate with property finance, supervise contractors, and ensure safety, security, and asset protection while delivering reliable operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in engineering and maintenance; HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing training.
• Or 2-year degree in Building/Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, with 2 years experience and HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing training.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the General Manager as the responsible party for the Engineering division.
• Support in all technical matters such as the fire-protection system.
• Coordinate planning and organization of technical works for the hotel.
• Maintain technical facilities and systems; perform repairs and revisions.
• Manage Engineering Asset Management System and enterprise processes.
• Execute material orders and coordinate budgets with property finance.
• Oversee scheduling, management, and payroll of the engineering team.
• Assign, track, and follow up on staff and contractor tasks.
• Help increase guest and employee satisfaction through training and communication.
• Engage with vendors to plan contracted maintenance work.
