Qualifications

• Supervise the engineering staff and maintenance team.

Job Summary

This individual, along with the Facilities Director, provides direct supervision to the Engineering Staff and the maintenance team. The Chief Engineer is expected to demonstrate thoughtful decisions in a high-pressured environment, while consistently maintaining the Caesars model for success while providing excellent guest service. All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as department and Company policies, practices, and procedures, within the framework and intent of Caesars Entertainment.

How You Will Create the Extraordinary

• Assists with mechanical oversight of entire facility, including all HVAC units (and components), boilers, chillers, automated and mechanical systems, restaurants, casino floor and back of house space.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of Casino Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, elevators and escalators.
• Troubleshoot and perform repairs on all types of equipment (e.g., pump and motor replacement), plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical equipment, HVAC equipment, cosmetic items, extension cords, replace electrical switches and outlets,
• Display the ability to train and mentor team members to achieve and exceed standards, quality/quantity.
• Ensures timely verbal and written communications.
• Initiates or responds to work orders, assigned to staff as applicable, follow-up and verify completion of this work, and expedite and approve payment (in conjunction with Facility Manager) for completed work.
• Ensure accurate recordkeeping of Engineering activities and documents.
• Review the Demand, Preventative Maintenance, and Planned Work Order reports to compare actual results with planned.
• Coordinate open work orders with the Grave and Swing Shift Facilities Staff/facility staff.
• Must display and maintain a sense of urgency regarding all Casino business.
• Work have experience/knowledge of CMMS systems
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Assure each day’s activities and problems that occur are communicated to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
• Display solid knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools and other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks.
• Display advanced knowledge of all engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance, energy management, and other systems, including devices that interact with such programs
• Display knowledge of CHP (Combined Heat and Power) systems

What You Will Need

• Must be a minimum of 21years of age or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Coursework in skilled crafts or trades, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
• Five (5) plus years’ experience in Mechanical, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and small appliance repair.
• Five (5) plus years’ experience working with automated systems, chillers, boilers, pumps
• Five (5) years in a management capacity
• Advanced knowledge of basic MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
• Must possess a sincere dedication to provide an unsurpassed level of owner and guest satisfaction.
• Excellent guest service and hospitality skills.
• Strong problem solving and listening skills.
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds at a time.
• Ability to push and pull heavy items and equipment.
• Ability to perform various activities such as constant standing, walking, frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting.
• Ability to work in an environment where pipe, cigar, and cigarette smoking is permitted.
• Ability to multi-task several activities and duties simultaneously.
