Job summary

Tufts University’s Division of Student Diversity and Inclusion seeks an Assistant Center Director to help design and oversee programs that promote belonging and student success across Africana, Asian American, BLOOM, Indigenous, LGBT, Latinx, and Women's centers.

The role partners with campus resources and departments to advance educational and leadership initiatives, coordinates bridge programs with the BLOOM Center, and supports assessment to improve services for diverse student communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3-5 years relevant experience supporting student growth and development in an educational setting.
• Strong judgment and organizational and communication skills.
• Sensitive to how social identities impact student experiences.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements and evaluates division wide programs that promote scholarship and leadership within an affirming campus climate.
• Develops communication systems and strategies to connect the DSDI community including website updates, e-marketing contact management systems, social media content and campus wide calendar of events.
• Assists in the development and implementation of student leadership programs, coordinates with other staff across DSDI to support student facing programs align across the division.
• Assists division staff in assessments, data gathering and evaluation to monitor the effectiveness of services and programs; works with staff to implement improvements in services based on data.
• Lead special projects and assignments for the division
• Represents Division and participates on school and university committees.
• Oversee the management and creation of program curriculum, ensuring alignment with educational goals and industry standards.
• Work with the Associate Director of the BLOOM Center in the coordination of the center's bridge program including but not limited to bridge cohort selection, summer program coordination and implementation, co-teaching Bridge Advising Seminar and student advising.
