Magical Beginnings is hiring an Assistant Director to join the leadership team at our Kingston center in Kingston, MA. If you're an experienced childcare or early education professional ready to step into center leadership, we'd love to meet you.

As part of the center leadership team, you'll oversee enrollment, teacher retention, daily operations, and center events, ensuring the center runs safely, efficiently, and with a culture where staff, children, and families thrive.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in early childhood education.
• Director II Certification and First Aid/CPR up to date.
• Strong understanding of licensure regulations and licensing visits.
• 2–4 years of leadership experience as Assistant Director, Lead Teacher, or similar in ECE.

Responsibilities

• Oversee center operations per state regulations and Magical Beginnings' policies.
• Ensure child-to-teacher ratios, safety, and licensure requirements are met.
• Prepare for licensing visits and communicate with licensors.
• Maintain staff and child files for compliance; conduct monthly drills.
• Schedule staff within payroll budgets while upholding licensure and quality standards.
