Job summary

Under close supervision, you will assist with patient referrals, verify insurance eligibility, and help with clerical tasks while ensuring accurate documentation in the electronic health record.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure charts and medical records are available for scheduled appointments.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up after provider visits.
• Assist with referrals, scheduling diagnostic studies, and travel/housing arrangements.
• Assist nursing staff with admissions, tests, and form entry.
• Maintain and update records in electronic health record systems.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and update changes in the system.
• Respond promptly to inquiries by phone, mail, or portal messages.
• Help maintain files, logs, and registers and assist in ordering supplies.
