El Cortez Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas is seeking an Assistant Cage Manager to support the Cage Manager in managing the casino’s financial operations, overseeing cage staff, providing training, and maintaining strong internal controls.

As the Assistant Cage Manager at El Cortez Hotel & Casino you are responsible for supporting the Cage Manager in managing the casino’s financial operations including overseeing cage staff, providing training to staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining financial controls for large sums of cash and credit transactions. The key responsibilities of this role should help ensure smooth and profitable operation of the casino’s financial departments.
Assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans for the casino cage, count rooms, credit departments and guest reward system
Oversee daily cash handling, financial transactions, and the maintenance of large cash reserves, ensuring all procedures and regulations are strictly followed
Train, motivate, and supervise cage supervisors and cashiers, fostering a positive and productive work environment
Ensure strict adherence to federal laws, such as the Bank Secrecy Act and Title 31, to safeguard company internal controls
Assist with implementation of procedures and controls to safeguard company assets, prevent loss, and ensure accurate accounting of all funds
Provide input on guest service standards and resolve complex customer issues to enhance the overall guest experience
Assist with annual budgets, monitor financial performance, and evaluate operations to drive ongoing improvement
Strong leadership and communication skills
Deep understanding of relevant state and federal gaming regulations
Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and staff development
Exceptional attention to detail, and accuracy in handling large sums of currency
Pre-employment background and credit check – Required
3+ years of experience in cage operations
2+ years in a management or supervisory role
Full-time / shift hours may vary
Salaried from $52,000 - $62,000/year
