Job summary

Bean Sprouts Café, located inside the New Children's Museum in San Diego, seeks an Assistant Manager to help run daily operations and act as Manager on Duty in the GM's absence.

You will support the Cafe Manager, foster a positive cafe culture aligned with Bean Sprouts' values, ensure guest satisfaction, and oversee food prep, safety, and staff training. Daytime hours and competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

• Motivated self-starter dedicated to delivering excellent customer experience.
• One or more years of food service experience.
• One or more years of supervisory experience.
• Manager's Food Safety Certification. (If you don't have one, we will help you get one!)
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for 4 to 8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Support the Cafe Manager in day-to-day cafe operations
• Create a positive and playful work environment in alignment with Bean Sprouts' core values
• Provide an excellent guest experience assist
• Ensure all menu items are consistently prepared and served according to Bean Sprouts Café's recipes
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and ensure adherence to food safety standards
• Assist with training, ordering, inventory, and waste control
