Job summary

Fox Factory is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to support buyers with reports, data management, and supplier coordination. You will help ensure timely purchases, track orders, and maintain inventory in collaboration with the purchasing manager.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years in purchasing, strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as with a team.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint preferred.
• 1+ years in Purchasing; Oracle experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Keep the Purchasing Manager informed of all activities or problems and submit reports as requested by management.
• Research, evaluate and purchase products
• Must ensure that suppliers can fulfill the product requirements on time, while maintaining a quality product.
• Place orders and ensure inventory is properly distributed
• Prepare purchase orders or other agreements as necessary and check them for accuracy and completeness before issuing
• Review acknowledgements for agreement with purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies with the supplier to the best possible advantage for this organization.
• Follow-up or expedite orders as necessary to meet schedules
• Answering vendor questions and providing them with additional order documentation as needed
• Develop an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all open purchase orders
• Work with the inventory management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing products
• Organizes and implements with direction from a buyer and/or the purchasing manager strategies to accomplish small business and disadvantaged business sourcing programs consistent with company guidelines.
• Comply with all state and federal laws as required
