Job summary

Fox Factory, Michigan, is seeking a Purchasing professional to assist in coordinating procurement and data management across our supplier network.

You will support the Purchasing Manager, prepare reports, place orders, and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining quality. Experience with Excel and Oracle is valued, with a focus on accuracy and teamwork in an office setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1+ years of experience in a Purchasing role preferred; Oracle experience a plus.
• Proficiency with Excel and data reporting is essential.

Responsibilities

• Keep Purchasing Manager informed of activities and submit reports.
• Research, evaluate and purchase products from suppliers.
• Ensure suppliers can fulfill requirements on time and with quality.
• Place orders and ensure inventory is properly distributed.
• Prepare purchase orders and verify accuracy before issuing.
• Resolve discrepancies with suppliers to maximize favorable outcomes.
• Follow up or expedite orders to meet schedules.
• Answer vendor questions and provide order documentation as needed.
• Develop an efficient system for monitoring all open purchase orders.
• Collaborate with inventory management to satisfy POs and report back-ordered items.
• Implement sourcing strategies aligned with company guidelines for small business and disadvantaged programs.
• Comply with all state and federal laws as required.

Position Summary

Assist buyer(s) with all purchasing needs including preparing various reports and data management.

Position Responsibilities

• Keep the Purchasing Manager informed of all activities or problems and submit reports as requested by management.
• Research, evaluate and purchase products
• Must ensure that suppliers can fulfill the product requirements on time, while maintaining a quality product.
• Place orders and ensure inventory is properly distributed
• Prepare purchase orders or other agreements as necessary and check them for accuracy and completeness before issuing
• Review acknowledgements for agreement with purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies with the supplier to the best possible advantage for this organization.
• Follow-up or expedite orders as necessary to meet schedules
• Answering vendor questions and providing them with additional order documentation as needed
• Develop an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all open purchase orders
• Work with the inventory management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing products
• Organizes and implements with direction from a buyer and/or the purchasing manager strategies to accomplish small business and disadvantaged business sourcing programs consistent with company guidelines.
• Comply with all state and federal laws as required

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft applications software expertise (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
• Ability to work in an individual and team setting.
• Ability to meet and establish deadlines.

Position Qualifications
