Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Buyer to join our merchandising team in San Francisco. You will report to a Buyer, share ownership of a category, and support daily/seasonal tasks to drive the business while maintaining data integrity and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

This on-site role requires being in the office Monday through Thursday with a remote option on Friday, offering exposure to fast-paced retail and opportunities to influence assortments across brands.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 1-2 years of retail buying experience.
• Familiar with pulling sales reports and analyzing business metrics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with pivot tables and VLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain all SKUs in merchandising systems.
• Manage visual line and merchandise lists.
• Communicate project status, costing, and SKU worksheets; pass new SKUs for placement and track PO due dates.
• Assist sample management with photo and warehouse teams.
• Enter and maintain regular pricing for DTC and Retail; coordinate with inventory and sourcing.
• Manage personalization techniques for photography and site.
• Analyze retail markets and maintain competitive analyses.
• Prepare reports and assist Buyer with opportunities.
• Plan seasonal floor sets with Buyer and Visual teams.
