Job summary

Delaware North Parks and Resorts at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Merritt Island, Florida, is seeking an Assistant Buyer to support inventory management, purchase orders, and vendor coordination across multiple retail locations and our growing e-commerce channels. You will collaborate with the Senior Merchandise Manager to ensure product availability and a seamless guest shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in retail merchandising, business, supply chain, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of retail buying experience and inventory planning, preferably with soft-lines, souvenirs or gifts.
• Proficient in Excel and retail reporting tools.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Strong understanding of COGS, OTB, and Comp Store Analysis.
• Ability to build strong team relationships.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels and replenish to maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Manage purchase orders: creating, submitting, and maintaining documentation; resolve discrepancies.
• Support vendor relationships: communicate product specs, order requirements, delivery expectations, issue resolution.
• Serve as liaison between merchandising and store operations; share product knowledge and coordinate warehouse to store distribution.
• Maintain e-commerce product listings: product setup, updates, and website content accuracy under Senior Merchandise Manager guidance.
• Coordinate product photography and supplier imagery to support online merchandising.
