Job summary

Delaware North Parks and Resorts at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Merritt Island, Florida, is seeking an Assistant Buyer to support inventory management, purchase orders, and vendor coordination across multiple retail locations and our growing e-commerce channels. You will collaborate with the Senior Merchandise Manager to ensure product availability and a seamless guest shopping experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in retail merchandising, business, supply chain, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of retail buying experience and inventory planning, preferably with soft-lines, souvenirs or gifts.
Proficient in Excel and retail reporting tools.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Strong understanding of COGS, OTB, and Comp Store Analysis.
Ability to build strong team relationships.

Responsibilities

Monitor inventory levels and replenish to maintain appropriate stock levels.
Manage purchase orders: creating, submitting, and maintaining documentation; resolve discrepancies.
Support vendor relationships: communicate product specs, order requirements, delivery expectations, issue resolution.
Serve as liaison between merchandising and store operations; share product knowledge and coordinate warehouse to store distribution.
Maintain e-commerce product listings: product setup, updates, and website content accuracy under Senior Merchandise Manager guidance.
Coordinate product photography and supplier imagery to support online merchandising.

The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a full-time Assistant Buyer to join our Retail team at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Merritt Island, Florida. In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Merchandise Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a dynamic retail business that serves millions of guests each year. You will play a critical role in maintaining inventory levels, managing purchase orders, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring products are available across multiple retail locations and growing e-commerce channels. As a key liaison between merchandising, warehouse, and store operations, you will help drive a seamless guest shopping experience while supporting a diverse assortment of merchandise ranging from apparel and souvenirs to specialty gifts.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $62,354 – $66,800 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?

Monitor inventory levels,identifyreplenishment opportunities, and execute reorders tomaintainappropriate stocklevels
