Job summary

Grocery Outlet Inc. in Emeryville is seeking a detail-oriented data entry specialist to join our World Class Purchasing Team. You will enter and verify item information, manage PO data, and keep vendor records accurate to support fast, data-driven decisions.

The role emphasizes accuracy, timely updates, and collaboration with suppliers and internal teams. Proficiency in Excel and SAP is preferred, along with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic discount retailer

Qualifications

Experience with SAP systems preferred.
Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook.
Ability to prioritize and multitask.

Responsibilities

Data Entry for all New Items created at Grocery Outlet.
Data Entry for all Purchase Orders created at Grocery Outlet.
Data Entry for all new Vendors and/or updates to Master Vendor files.
Maintains department files including purchase orders, quotes sheets, supplier lists, and other documents.
Ensures that purchase orders are completed in a timely and accurate manner; monitors timely arrival of orders in warehouses or reschedules.
Setup suppliers, items, and modules with maximum accuracy and strong attention to detail.
Updates item descriptions, retails and looks up competition to establish pricing elsewhere.
Establishes credibility and responsiveness; promptly returns vendor and store calls.
Manages Past Dues and supplier follow-up.
As applicable, responsible for the management of flex order guide.
