Qualifications

• Professional experience supporting the development, execution, or monitoring of organizational budgets.
• Experience preparing, reviewing, or coordinating formal budget submissions and reports.
• Experience using financial systems, spreadsheets, or reporting tools to reconcile data.
• Experience coordinating information across programs, departments, or stakeholders.
• Experience applying policies, deadlines to high-volume or complex financial work.

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance to staff to conduct major Budget Reporting Unit functions.
• Develop and implement the DSHS Annual Operating Budget.
• Prepare biennial Legislative Appropriation Request and reports.
• Manage budget monitoring, position control, coding, and related processes.
• Forecast, analyze, and report agency revenues and financial position.
• Prepare routine and ad hoc budget reports for internal and external requests.
• Plan and supervise the work of staff; support training and staff development.
• Work on special projects and any other duties as assigned.
