Job summary

Reading Cooperative Bank in Reading, MA is seeking an Assistant BSA Officer to lead the BSA/AML/CFT compliance program. You will own complex investigations, oversee monitoring systems, and advise across the bank on regulatory requirements.

You will report to the VP, BSA & Vendor Management, and collaborate with frontline teams to strengthen CDD, KYC and EDD practices while coordinating examinations and requests from regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in BSA/AML, financial crimes compliance, or related field.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex AML investigations and high-risk customer reviews.
• Drive identification, escalation and resolution of suspicious activity, including SAR filings.
• Provide leadership in Verafin system administration and optimization.
• Serve as BSA/AML subject matter expert for business lines and training.
• Coordinate regulatory examinations, audits, and law-enforcement requests.
• Partner with frontline teams on CDD, KYC and EDD improvements.
