Job summary

Brown & Brown is seeking an Assistant Broker to join our team in Scottsdale, AZ. This role involves supporting the Broker’s clerical and administrative processes for both renewals and new business.

The ideal candidate will complete documentation for risk acceptance, maintain knowledge of market opportunities, and ensure compliance with Quality Control guidelines. Comprehensive benefits including health, financial support, and wellness programs are provided.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Working towards or holds valid P&C license.

Responsibilities

• Completes and files documentation for risk acceptance.
• Collaborates with Broker on unusual coverages.
• Determines insurance amount on single or related risks.
• Confirms appropriate regulatory filings.
• Maintains market knowledge to negotiate placements.
• Verifies complete and proper coding.
• Compliance with Quality Control guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Proficient with MS Office Suite

Exceptional telephone demeanor

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Education

Associate or bachelor’s degree in an insurance or accounting related discipline

High School Diploma or GED
