First National Bank in Maine is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to help lead the branch team, support daily operations, build strong customer relationships, and originate consumer loans.

You will work closely with the Branch Manager, serve as a backup when needed, and create a positive experience for both employees and customers while ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead branch staff by coordinating workflow, providing support and coaching, and assisting with performance management.
• Oversee daily branch operations and ensure policies, procedures, security standards, and regulatory requirements are followed.
• Build relationships with customers, identify financial needs, and recommend bank products and services.
• Originate consumer loans, interview applicants, review credit, and oversee loan closings or declinations.
• Conduct branch self-audits and support compliance with banking regulations including BSA and USA PATRIOT Act.
• Provide notary and signature guarantee services and assist with other branch responsibilities.
• May serve as Saturday Supervisor or participate in officer rotation.
