First Commerce Bank in Lakewood Township, NJ is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to support the Branch Manager in delivering community-focused financial services and leading daily operations.

You will supervise staff, drive customer service excellence, manage sales activities, and ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

The role requires at least 3 years of related banking experience, a high school diploma, and proven organizational and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Three years of related experience required.
• Thorough knowledge of bank procedures/products/services, teller operations, cash and ATM procedures.
• Proficient English (speaking, writing and reading).
• Organizational, project management skills, and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to lift fifty lbs. of coin.

Responsibilities

• Assists in managing all inside and outside sales, branch functions, and business development activities to achieve growth and profitability.
• Enhances Bank image through customer-driven servicing and exceeding customer expectations.
• Maintains branch staffing to meet service and sales objectives.
• Ensures staff are trained in product knowledge and sales techniques.
• Motivates and coaches branch team to improve customer experience and performance.
• Supervises opening/closing, vault control, and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Provides periodic reports to the Branch Manager and management.
