Job summary

First Community Credit Union is seeking an Assistant Vice President – in-store Fairfield location to oversee daily branch operations and support the Branch VP. The AVP will supervise staff, coach team members, and ensure policy compliance while delivering exceptional member service.

The role requires a flexible 4/10 schedule with Saturday availability and a background in banking, along with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One to three years of banking or financial experience and achieving goals regularly.
• Supervisory or lead experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee in-store branch operations to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Assist Branch VP with daily supervision and coaching of staff.
• Handle scheduling, counseling, coaching, problem solving and performance reviews as needed.
• Maintain proper controls and contribute to a smooth customer experience.

Description

We are currently seeking an Assistant Vice President (AVP) for our in-store Fairfield (Cypress) location. The AVP ensures that in-store operations are effective, efficient and in compliance with credit union policies and procedures. The AVP assists the Branch Vice President to ensure the smooth flow of branch operations.

The AVP performs supervisory duties as directed by the Branch VP, and handles inquiries and situations that are more complex and require supervisory attention. This may include, but is not limited to scheduling, counseling, coaching, problem solving, training/development and performance reviews.

This individual will oversee and ensure proper controls are maintained.

This position demands a flexible 4/10 work schedule with Saturday availability required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

High School Graduate or GED equivalent or equivalent work experience

Experience

One to three years of banking and/or financial experience, in which achieving goals was required, on a routine basis or related experience
