Job summary

Sherwin-Williams Automotive Branch in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Branch Assistant Manager to work with the Branch Manager in planning and executing strategies for the automotive finishes location at 2010 E University Dr. This full-time role runs Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm, with duties spanning customer service, sales, merchandising, inventory, and store safety.

The role requires leadership capabilities, retail or sales experience, and the ability to supervise and train staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
• Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift up to 50 lbs, and up to 70 lbs on occasion.
• At least 1 year of work experience in retail, sales, or customer service or completion of a Sherwin-Williams Development Program.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing branch market plan based on market conditions, branch mission and financial/budget objectives.
• Support business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability.
• Build and maintain product knowledge to provide effective customer recommendations.

The individual selected for this role will be expected to work at Automotive Finishes #9818 located at 2010 E University Dr, Tempe, AZ 85288.

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm based on business needs and subject to change.

Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors; and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise and other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
• Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license
• Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
• Must have at least one (1) year of work experience in retail, sales, or customer service or have completed a Sherwin-Williams Development Program

Preferred Qualifications

• Have at least three (3) years of work experience in customer service, retail, or sales
• Have at least one (1) year of work experience in a Sherwin-Williams Automotive Branch
• Have at least one (1) year of work experience in an automotive aftermarket industry
• Have at least one (1) year of experience in leadership role(s), supervising others, or leading teams
• Have at least one (1) year of work experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and/or Outlook)
• Have work experience using timekeeping and/or customer relationship management (“CRM”) systems
• Have an associate's degree or higher in Business, Sales, or Marketing
• Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities
