Position Overview
Responsible for customer service fulfillment within the branch, including lobby management, resolving complex customer service matters, determining policy exceptions, and ensuring operational excellence and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise branch operations, including the lobby and teller line, establish staffing schedules, perform audits, evaluate employee performance, and monitor compliance.
- Recruit, train, coach, lead, schedule, motivate, and evaluate a team of staff members.
- Optimize resource usage to meet operational needs of the branch.
- Apply effective sales strategies to attract, expand, and retain customer relationships and guide the team to achieve sales objectives through action planning.
- Oversee the customer experience within the branch, assess customer and employee feedback, identify opportunities for improvement, and research and resolve complex problems to ensure customer service excellence.
- Manage branch safety, security, and compliance, protecting against criminal or fraudulent activity and risk exposure.
- Perform regular audits of vault and teller cash with proper documentation.
- Represent the bank in business development efforts and at networking and community functions.
- Maintain a working knowledge of banking products, programs, services, and promotions.
- Lead or co‑facilitate training and staff meetings.
- Provide backup support to other branches as needed.
- Approve policy exceptions within authorized limits.
- Achieve branch objectives, sales, and service objectives as set by leadership.
- May perform all sales and service functions of the branch as needed.
- Demonstrate leadership skillset with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships, coach, mentor, and retain a high‑performing team.
- Practice ethical sales behaviors in accordance with the Bank’s Core Values of Integrity and Honesty.
- Act in the best interest of the customer when offering additional products and services.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
- Highly motivated team player with ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of branch operations.
- Knowledge of banking policies and procedures.
- Intermediate PC proficiency; intermediate proficiency in Google Docs and Microsoft Office products.
Industry and Work Experience
- 3 or more years of retail banking experience required.
- Supervisory, leadership, or mentorship experience required.
- Branch operations experience required.
- Cross‑selling experience required.
- Sales management experience preferred.
- Consumer credit experience preferred.
Academic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training or experience required.
