Job Description

The Pittsfield Public School District is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Coach for the Pittsfield High School swim program. This is a paid position. This position is not eligible for benefits.

Successful candidates will be responsible for assisting the head coach with managing, organizing and administering the swimming program. Duties include conducting well-organized practices and completing MIAA required coaching workshops and complying with MIAA rules.

Job Requirements

• Ability to assist head coach with teaching fundamental swimming techniques that challenge the physical, mental and personal abilities of student-athletes. Ability to maintain a philosophy consistent with the mission and goals of the school. Excellent communication skills. Ability to convey messages of sportsmanship, work ethic and commitment to one's team.

  Experience as a coach at the high school level preferred.

  Season traditionally runs from late November through early February.
