Job Description

The Pittsfield Public School District is seeking applicants for the position of Head Coach for the wrestling program. This is a paid position. This position is not eligible for benefits.

Successful candidates will be responsible for managing, organizing and administering the wrestling program. Duties include conducting well-organized practices and completing MIAA required coaching workshops and complying with MIAA rules.

Job Requirements

• Ability to teach fundamental wrestling techniques that challenge the physical, mental and personal abilities of student-athletes. Ability to instruct and demonstrate wrestling rules and techniques. Ability to promote wrestling program participation. Ability to maintain a philosophy consistent with the mission and goals of the school. Excellent communication skills. Ability to convey messages of sportsmanship, work ethic and commitment to one's team. Experience as a coach at the high school level preferred. Season traditionally runs from mid-November through early March.
