Job summary

Massaponax High School in Fredericksburg, Virginia, seeks an energetic Athletic Coach to develop a competitive lacrosse program and uphold teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship. The role involves supervising assistant coaches, coordinating with the Athletic Director, and ensuring athlete eligibility and safety standards.

Responsibilities include training the varsity squad, managing equipment, and supporting JV/ freshman contests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required
• 18 years of age required
• One year of coaching experience in the sport assigned
• CPR and First Aid Certification or ability to enroll and complete training

Responsibilities

• Assists in maintaining high academic standards for all student-athletes.
• Directs, supervises, and evaluates regularly the performance of all Assistant Coaches of the respective sport.
• Works with the Athletic Director to ensure proper insurance coverage for all athletes.
• Collaborates with Head Athletic Coaches to operate a balanced athletic program.
• Directs training, conditioning, and performance of the varsity team and guides Assistant Coaches.
• Engages and directs the team at varsity contests and supports junior varsity and freshman contests
