Job summary

Applitrack is seeking an Assistant Boys Basketball Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. This role requires collaboration with the school leadership and athletic staff to promote student growth, safety, and competitive success.

The coach will organize practice schedules, supervise the coaching staff, and ensure adherence to WVSSAC policies while fostering positive relationships with students, families, and the community. Training in concussion awareness and ongoing certification are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Valid WV teaching certification or WVDE teaching permit or substitute permit.
• High school diploma or GED
• WVSSAC certification

Responsibilities

• Fosters professional and positive relationships with participants, student body, faculty, parents, community and officials.
• Cooperates with building principal and athletic director; develops rapport with coaching staff.
• Organizes coaching staff and designs quality practice sessions and preseason planning.
• Manages budget, follows purchasing procedures and ensures proper equipment care.
